L eala, a British born actress has been actively involved in the theatre and film industry for more than a decade. She obtained a Bachelor of Performing Arts Degree and a three year Diploma in Acting for stage and screen in Vancouver. Leala has received several awards and nominations for a variety of theatrical performances and has professional experience in Voice Over, Commercials, Film and TV. Recent credits include, Barbie: The Princess and the Popstar (Voice Over), Alcatraz (TV), The Take Away (feature film), as well as performing in the International PuSh Festival.

J uliana Wimbles has been a part of the Canadian film and television community for over 15 years. Some of her credits include the lead in Showtime’s “Restless Spirits” opposite Academy Award nominee Marsha Mason, Guest Starring on the CW’s “Supernatural”, Fox’s “Fringe” and ABC’s “Motive.” A dreamer, writer and self proclaimed comedienne, she has been a part of The First Step team for 6 years.

R ussell Porter has been guiding actors though their craft at The First Step Actors' Workshop since it's opening in 1999. After years as a personal coach and mentor for local actors and agencies, Russell realized there was a need to create an honest program where actors could be free to discover their craft and develop confidence and discipline. The focus was to create a safe and supportive program, conducted under the guidance of genuinely caring and capable instructors. This was the beginning of The First Step Actors' Workshop.
