Established as a family business known as THE WORKMAN BAG COMPANY in 1923, MULTISAC ® began as a manufacturer of new and reconditioned Jute and Cotton bags serving mostly agricultural and mineral customers. Over the years the Company updated its product line, taking advantage of developments in the textile, plastic and converting industries.
® has strategic partnerships with the major high quality producers of P.E. and P.P. woven fabrics in North America, and Asia. These relationships have allowed it to expand its business and maintain a readily available supply of fabrics with a variety of technical properties, to meet customer needs.
MULTISAC ® continues to be a leader in both market and product development in the industrial flexible packaging industry.
® . Starting with two employees, their first product was reconditioned jute bags, or what we refer to today as “Recycling”. They soon began manufacturing new jute and cotton bags, for agricultural and mineral markets. Workman Bag became one of the largest producers of textile bags in Canada, serving the animal feed, flour, sugar and potato markets -- to name a few. Our founders’ continued optimism, foresight, tenacity and unwavering adherence to ethical values formed the basis for the company's success and continue to guide and inspire our every action.
