Description

Since 1983, G.I.E. has been a leader in the areas of inspection,
assessment and quality control of civil engineering projects, using computerized tools and state-of-the-art equipment to better serve their customers.
G.I.E. Technologies was established in order to commercializeour PAVEMENT SURFACE EVALUATION SYSTEM, which utilize tridimensional laser beam sensors giving extremely acurate and reliable data.
The system collects, identifies and classifies in real time the following surface distress characteristics while giving the location of the defects:
- cracking - rutting - roughness (IRI)
The company also commercializes:
- A new Pavement management Software called PEAK which evaluates the actual and future needs for rehabilitating the network, gives technical as well as economical consequences of various alternatives, and elaborates budgets based on objective criteria which permits to do more with less.
- Subsurface evaluation equipment which quantifies the thickness of road structures, the delamination as well as the disagregation of semi-flexible and bridge roadways using variable frequency antennas.
- Other products and services related to roadway maintenance.
