From large open pit mines to ship loading machinery, and many other industries, United Gear has been rebuilding large industrial transmissions for several years with a flawless track record. After starting our business back in 1966 as a manufacturer of open gearing and sprockets, primarily for the solid wood industry, our business has changed considerably over the years.

We provide consistent quality in our products and services, and we ensure that they comply with applicable specifications and recognized industry standards. We complete the work in a timely fashion to our customer's requirements. We work with our customers to upgrade the quality of the components and services that we provide.

United Gear & Machine Works Ltd. was founded in 1965, providing Vancouver and surrounding areas with machining and gear cutting services. Over the years we have grown in both capacity and capabilities, serving the North American market. Since we specialize in the manufacturing of gearing, we can offer a wide range of services, from general machining, to complete manufacturing of gear reducers and industrial transmissions.

While United Gear started in business back in 1965 as a manufacturer of open gearing and sprockets, primarily for the solid wood industry, our focus has changed considerably over the years. With the changing times, we now provide products to a number of other industries in Western Canada, and we have also added the capability to provide our customers with custom machining and specialty product requirements on a quick turnaround basis. In order to be able to provide these new value added services we have added several new pieces of state of the art machinery to our shop equipment.

United Gear and Machine Works Ltd. has developed long term working partnerships with our customers by offering good service, quality products and competitive pricing, along with accurate delivery scheduling. United Gear understands the importance of minimizing down time, and we consider any customer shut down an emergency. Our North Vancouver plant is able to respond to customers' needs quickly and effectively. We know that our products must meet industry's demand for quality, precision, and durability.
