Based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, SAIT Polytechnic was the first publicly funded post-secondary technical institution in North America. Founded in 1916, we have established a reputation for our linkages with industry and ability to deliver relevant, applied, skill-oriented training.

Today, SAIT Polytechnic serves more than 76,000 registrants annually. The Polytechnic offers four applied degrees, 62 diploma and certificate programs, 33 apprenticeship programs and 1,900 continuing education and customized business and industry courses.

SAIT boasts one of the best graduate employment records in Canada: 97 per cent employment among recent grads. These impressive results reflect the more than 150 partnerships we have with employers—partnerships that have led to the establishment of eleven Centres of Technology Development, many of them unique.

In 1999 SAIT became the first technical institute in Canada to be awarded ISO 9001 registration for curriculum design in the Institute’s grant-funded applied degree, diploma and certificate programs.

Today, SAIT trains around the world and has completed training projects in more than 30 countries.
