Mr. Nganga previously worked for Afren plc in a group financial reporting role since 2007. He has wide ranging financial and accounting experience in the oil and gas industry having worked for over 19 years both in the industry and in professional accounting firms in Kenya and UK. He holds an MBA from the University of Warwick and is a Certified Public Accountant.

As a result of the adoption of an aggressive government reallocation initiative, 116 oil and gas fields in the Niger Delta have been characterized as “marginal fields”, meaning that they are proven but remain undeveloped for over 10 years. These fields, which are owned by major oil and gas producers in joint venture with the Nigerian National Oil Company, have been dormant for many years as they typically fell below the economic thresholds of the multi-national operators.

SunTrust Oil Company Nigeria Limited was incorporated in 2001. It is an Exploration and Production Company with a focus on West Africa and the Gulf of Guinea as its core production areas.

Midwestern Oil & Gas Co. Plc was incorporated in 1999, commencing operations in 2005. The company is focused on harnessing opportunities in the exploration and production sector of the oil industry in Nigeria.

Founder of Mart Resources Inc., Mr. Cherwayko has negotiated, financed and developed numerous oil and gas projects and companies for over 20 years in West and North Africa. Mr. Cherwayko has been active in Nigeria since the early 1990’s advising indigenous oil companies such as Yinka Folawiyo Petroleum Company Limited, Amni International and several marginal field companies including Midwestern Oil & Gas, Suntrust Oil. Mr. Cherwayko was also a co-founder of Centurion Energy with operations focused in North Africa.
