Description

While studying at a special school for drawing and applied design Peter was drawn to the creative professions. In 1959 he started an apprenticeship program in goldsmithing and graduated 3 S years later as best in his province. Peter began his goldsmithing Master's degree following four years of practical experience. He finished the program, graduating among the top of his class in 1968. In 1974 Peter opened his own Studio in Essen, West Germany. During that time he worked in co-operation with the art gallery Heimeshoff. Here he worked closely with reknown artists to produce limited editions of jewelry as collaborative designs. Four years after his first visit to Canada, in 1978, Peter fulfilled a dream and moved to western Canada. Here, in Calgary, he worked as a Master Goldsmith for Timantties until 1981. Upon leaving Timantties he opened his own studio: The Goldschmiede Studio.
