Second City Capital Partners Fund I ("Fund I") was launched in March 2004 and has made over $180 million in investments. From March 2004 thru to June 2010, Fund I has delivered an annualized gross internal rate of return of 20%. Today, Fund I is in its final stage of funding and is not soliciting further investment opportunities. Fund I invested in small to mid-market companies, committing capital through various financial instruments including: senior debt, junior debt, mezzanine and bridge capital, convertible debentures, and both public & private equity. With Fund I, Second City Capital Partners was dedicated to helping companies achieve their objectives and constantly looked for ways to deliver value to our portfolio companies. - We are a small team with an aversion to 'analysis paralysis'. We look to make fast decisions throughout the investment cycle. Having dedicated capital that is not subject to individual investor sign off which lets us find, research and fund opportunities quickly-sometimes in as little as 4 weeks. -Independence - Fund I operated as a standalone pool of capital and was not aligned with any financial institution.
