National Property Inspections, Incorporated played host to its 23rd Annual Conference Nov. 12 and 13 in Omaha, Neb. The Annual Conference, which welcomed franchise owners from the United States and Canada, featured speakers and various education sessions, celebrated business success, and provided franchise owners with the opportunity to network with one another. Education sessions presented franchise owners with the most up-to-date trends in the inspection industry and new avenues of focus for their businesses. Technical education session topics included identifying illegal grow-ops and meth labs, heating and air systems, electrical inspections safety, and report writing. The Annual Conference also featured various marketing sessions, including presentations from a number of franchise owners and a presentation from guest speaker Jeff Beals, Vice President of Coldwell Banker Commercial World Group. A large number of franchisees chose to attend an additional education session on Mold Inspection and Assessment, instructed by Bernard Katz of Environmental Solutions Association (ESA). The course provides industry professionals with the training and education necessary to confront environmental and safety issues faced by today's property owners. The Annual Conference concluded with dinner and an awards ceremony. President Roland Bates awarded top franchise owners for their hard work, perseverance and business success. The award winners' success stories served as an inspiration to all attendees. "It is very gratifying to see so many successful NPI and GPI franchisees come together to learn from the instructors and each other on how to improve and expand their business," President Roland Bates, said. "With the improving economy, the franchise owners are poised to take their business to yet another high level of success." National Property Inspections, Incorporated recently added two franchise owners in the U.S. Mark Flanzbaum of New Port Richey, Fla.; and Matt Provost of Summerville, S.C., successfully completed NPI's property inspection training program at the Business and Inspection Training Academy in Omaha, Neb. National Property Inspections (NPI) franchise owners receive training in technical, marketing and business aspects of property inspection before receiving their completion certificate. Their training program days are spent mastering an understanding of all major property systems, including: plumbing, structural, electrical, HVAC, roofing, foundations, and exterior and interior wall coverings. Safety issues, moisture intrusion and common property-related issues are also covered. This extensive training prepares franchise owners to handle commercial inspections, residential inspections, relocation inspections, field service work, specialty inspections and more. Franchise owners are also trained in the marketing and business aspects of the business, as well as in computers and the equipment they will use on a daily basis, including NPI's proprietary inspection software.
