Couture Portraits

Hello and welcome to my website! My name is Gillian Couture and I am an artist who calls Campbell River, British Columbia home. I recently graduated from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri where I was on an ice hockey scholarship. I spent 3 years there studying and playing ACHA Division 1 Women's Hockey. We won the National Championships in 2008, and I was named First Team All American for Defence and for Academics. During my time at Lindenwood I made sure that my academics were maintained at a high level. I graduated with an accumulative 4.0 GPA and was honored as Suma Cum Laude (that's highest honors!) with a degree in Elementary Education. I also won the Female Scholar Student Athlete of the Year award in 2008! As I wait for a teaching position to land at my feet, I am re-establishing my rewarding portrait drawing career. The success I have had so far is very encouraging and I am excited to see where my artistic talent may take me. I am currently living in Cumberland, British Columbia and will have my work on display at some upcoming Farmers' Markets on Pier Street in Campbell River.
