Description
A deluxe water front cottage that offers private accommodation for up to 4 people. This peaceful location is situated on Ainslie Point in Bedwell Harbour between North and South Pender Islands. It's idyllic nature is perfect for a romantic getaway or for two couples to meet for a special visit. The 600 sq. ft. cottage offers an open plan with water views on three sides, one bedroom, a sofa bed in the main room, and a large bathroom. As a vacation rental its like stepping into your own home, fully equipped and ready to enjoy. The 'Pender Islands' are located between Vancouver and Vancouver Island and north of the San Juan Islands. We are part of the well known "Gulf Islands" that live under the Islands Trust mandate of 'Preserve and Protect'. The islanders are very sensitive of this responsibility to preserve this ecologically sensitive paradise. We hope visitors to the Islands will also honour this uniqueness. The Mediterranean climate is mild year round and has 15% less rain than the mainland. The summer is sunny and warm. You can access the Island by car ferry, seaplane (see links) or by boat to our private dock. You have access to the beach and dock, as well as the use of the canoe and rowboat. Life jackets in a variety of sizes and a crab trap are also available. Our gravel driveway is steep, a 4WD or front wheel drive is preferable, but not absolutely necessary. Even though the location is rural in nature, its close to quality restaurants, gift shops, a library, day spas, pools, the farmers market, several artisans, golf, fishing, frisbee golf, kayaking, whale watching and cycling. There are many trails and parks throughout the islands, both National and local, as well as beach access at several points. Relax and Explore - Enjoy!
