| Saxophone | Richard has worked as a professional saxophonist and educator in Calgary for over 20 years. He has performed with many outstanding local groups such as the Prime Time Big Band, Johnny Summers Little Big Band, Calgary Jazz Orchestra, Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, Lorna MacLachlan Quintet, Soul Providers, Penguins on Broadway, TR3, Tim Tamashiro Orchestra and his own jazz quartet. | Clarinet | Cédric Blary has been entertaining Calgary audiences on clarinet, pan-flute, saxophone and voice for over 20 years. He has a B.MUS degree in performance from the University of Calgary and a Diploma from Mount Royal College (now University). Read more about Cédric .
| Oboe | Nadine has been actively teaching oboe performance and technique to junior and senior high school students in Calgary for over 13 years. She also teaches Early Childhood Music. | Top Level Band | Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser is the Associate Conductor of the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra. Born in Montréal, Québec, he has primarily been a resident of Calgary, Alberta. Daniel has worked with some of the foremost conductors of this generation, among them Dr. Glenn Price of the University of Calgary, Mark Hopkins of Acadia University, Clark Rundell of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Baldur Bronnimann of National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia and, most recently, Rolf Bertsch of the Calgary Philharmonic. Learn to play an instrument in a week! This is your chance to develop your love of music, learn a new instrument and partake in the incredible experience of playing in a band! During our half-day, week long session our talented instructional team will teach you to put your instrument together, sound production and basic note reading skills. The class schedule will include master class instruction, band rehearsal, and a staff recital each day, finishing off with a performance in the final concert on Friday evening.
