Description
Calgary Counselling Centre's family counsellors are adept at working with children to provide them a safe space where they can speak-up and express their feelings. Our family counsellors know how to get to the root of issues, and how to provide children, and their care-givers, the tools to keep the doors of communication open.
We provide counselling to Calgarians from every walk of life and every economic strata. For those with limited financial resources, we ensure our sliding fee-scale doesn’t overwhelm their budget. That’s why your generosity makes such a difference. We’re able to meet the need without implementing a waitlist or turning anyone away.
As a guiding principle the Centre applies program research to meeting the changing needs of our clients. In addition, the agency is a responsible custodian of funds for the community, and as such we have a mandate from the community to provide accountable, research-based (linked to literature and best practices) services and programs.
No matter their age, at Calgary Counselling Centre, we provide counselling to both children and youth to help relieve their distress and to improve their social and relationship well-being.
There are countless ways to volunteer with Calgary Counselling Centre. You can help out in the NEXEN Call Centre and be the supportive first contact for those seeking help, assist with filing and organizing records, help with events and so much more. Every year the contributions of our 100+ volunteers make a significant difference to the services we provide to our clients.
