Description
The Burnaby Arts Council is an independent, non-profit umbrella organization to approximately 90 individual, visual, literary and performing arts groups in Burnaby. The Burnaby Arts Council is devoted to developing further awareness and appreciation of the arts in Burnaby. It can issue tax receipts to donors for income tax deductions. The Arts Council encourages participation in the arts by sponsoring numerous activities, including the Burnaby Summer Theatre for Children, Christmas Craft Fair, arts programs and exhibits, operating grants to full member groups, special project grants to member groups and scholarships to Burnaby graduating secondary school students.
