Aboriginal Legal Services of Toronto ( ALST) is a multi-service Legal Agency serving Toronto's Aboriginal Community. ALST is a not-for-profit, charitable organization whose operations are overseen by a community Board of Directors.
ALST was established February 21, 1990 based on a needs assessment conducted by the Native Canadian Centre of Toronto in the mid 1980's. The Centre had been operating legal-related programs for Aboriginal people in Toronto but concluded an agency dedicated to Aboriginal Justice issues was needed.
ALST offers many programs, including:

- Aboriginal Courtworker Program
- Community Council
- Advocacy
- Gladue ( Aboriginal Persons) Caseworker Program
- Kaganoodamaagon (Victims Rights Advocacy) Program
- Inquests
- Law Reform

Mission: To strengthen the capacity of the Aboriginal community and its citizens to deal with justice issues and provide Aboriginal controlled and culturally based justice alternatives.
Law Reform: Aboriginal Legal Services of Toronto is very involved in law reform activities. The following list notes some of the projects we have worked on:
- Amendments to the Criminal Code
- Policing
- Youth Criminal Justice Act
- International Convention of the Elimination of all Forms of Racial Discrimination
- Section 718.2 (e) of the Criminal Code
- Legal Aid Services Act, 1998
- From Punishment to Healing - Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice Conference
