Description

The Municipality of Highlands East sits on the eastern side of Haliburton County and was incorporated as of January 1, 2001. Highlands East is comprised of the former Townships of Bicroft, Cardiff, Glamorgan and Monmouth. It has a permanent population of approximately 2,700 and a seasonal population of roughly 13,000 with a total of 4,300 households. Highlands East is a clean, friendly Municipality comprised of a vast rural area, several settlements and many shoreline communities.
