Ned Meyer, Vice President, Professional Services Ned Meyer has over 30 years of management experience in businesses related to MRO parts distribution, enterprise asset management systems, and MRO decision support. Ned began his career at Detroit Ball Bearing Co. prior to founding Applied Resource Management Group (ARM) Inc. in 1986. ARM Group Inc. was one of the first outsourced MRO storeroom service companies and managed 33 storerooms. Maintenet Corporation evolved through ARM Group to create the first internet based MRO e-commerce network.

Michael Hasley, Chairman of the Board of Directors Michael has an honours degree in Economics & Political Science from McGill University and an MBA, Finance, degree from Columbia University, New York. He has extensive experience in financial and general management, having been COO of Guaranty Trust and CFO of Sun Life. Michael helped negotiate the terms of life insurance demutualization legislation with the Federal Government and led the $2.1 billion initial public offering for Sun Life Financial Inc. Currently Michael is a corporate director and financial management consultant.

John F. Cowan, President John graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1977. In 1983 he founded a publicly listed, energy company with assets across Canada and the USA. John continues to sit on a number of boards of directors in the energy sector. In the late 1990’s, John left the day to day energy business to fully pursue his interest in manufacturing, specifically maintenance and operations. Recent advances in the technology of managing the hundreds of thousands of spare parts opened up entirely new business discipline.

Your job is to plan, develop, execute and review the performance of your production facility. Generally you accomplish this using planned or scheduled maintenance programs, however Murphy and his law is rife in all plants. MRO inventories are required to support both of these operations, however the unscheduled and random breakdown is extremely difficult to prepare for and this results in excessive inventory expenditures. Your mantra has to be - “not on my watch”.
