About

Clipper Canoes, founded by Marlin and Mary, specializes in handcrafted composite canoes for various paddling conditions, from family trips to racing and whitewater. They offer a wide range of models including recreational, racing, flatwater, river, and whitewater canoes, as well as specialized First Nation traveling canoes up to 39 feet. The company emphasizes personal attention in construction, using fiberglass, Kevlar, and carbon fiber to balance weight, strength, and durability. Their products are tested by the founders on extended wilderness trips and have set records such as the longest continual canoe trip from Calgary to Belen, Brazil, and paddling across Canada in one season.
