Description
For most of his life Patric has been skiing and exploring these mountains. In 1993 he and friends built a small ski touring cabin, which later became Snowwater. As a forester, his mapping and layout skills have greatly contributed to the selection of prime ski runs in the tenure area. He is also a professional tree climber and arborist and has been harvesting seed for reforestation for over 20 years, contributing to our carbon offset.
The trip begins with an evening in Nelson and a warm up day at White Water Ski Resort . Then you'll enjoy two consecutive days of snowcat skiing skiing or riding in the legendary Valhalla Mountain Range, and stay at the Prestige Resort in Nelson on the waterfront on Kootenay Lake. Day 4 is all about rejuvenation, resting the legs, and perhaps a visit to the famous caves at Ainsworth Hot Springs before the transferring up to our mountain top lodge for the pinnacle of this great trip. At Snowwater Heli Skiing , you'll experience 3 days of private heli skiing in small groups of 4, with an exclusive setting providing the highest level of service in the industry. Unlimited heli, innovative and delicious cuisine, snowcat backup, select wine and draft beer included - you can't go wrong! It is truly a one of a kind vacation.
Heath moved to Nelson in 1993 in search of more snow than what Lake Louise had to offer. Spending the last 20 years exploring the Kootenay Mountains by snowboard, snowmobile and mountain bike has given him great knowledge of the areas within. Heath started guiding in 2000 and has worked with many of the top pros in the business. Showing guests a great, safe time is what it is all about for Heath.
A Born and raised Nelson Boy Kevin grew up skiing at the local Ski Hill Whitewater, has a love for the snow, has spent year's snowmobiling and ski touring all around Mountains he loves to call home. You are expected work as a team, listen carefully to your guides and obey their directions and cautions to help reduce possible harm presented by the many obstacles and dangers of wilderness skiing. Your attitude has a great deal to do with your own well-being in the mountains. We provide guests with all the required safety equipment and the training to use it. As is standard in the industry, signing of a waiver by all guests is required.
