Trican’s Industrial Services group consists of skilled individuals who are specialists at providing a number of services in refining, petrochemical, power generation and gas processing facilities.

CBM Fracturing Coalbed Methane (CBM) formations are found throughout many parts of the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and the world. Some coal zones are dry and produce little to no water, while others produce large volumes of water from the coal prior to producing gas. Trican has experience in fracturing both types of coal reservoirs. Trican’s CBM fracturing services consist of high-rate nitrogen pumpers and bulk N 2 equipment designed to stimulate dry CBM wells.

Mr. Redmond is Vice President, Quality, Health, Safety and Environment and has been with the company since July 1999. Mr. Redmond brings more than 30 years of experience in operations, HS&E and HR in Canada, USA, Russia, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Previous roles within Trican include Manager, HS&E and General Manager, Human Resources and HS&E. For 20 years prior to joining Trican, Mr. Redmond held several operational and management positions in various service lines as well as Health, Safety, Environment and Training with Fracmaster and Nowsco.

Through the skill and dedication of our more than 150 scientists, technicians and support staff working out of our Research and Development Centres in Calgary (Canada), The Woodlands (USA), and Moscow (Russia), we continue to discover new products and processes that enhance our service lines and respond to the needs of our customers and the industries to which we contribute.

In the past five years, Trican has developed more than 160 new cementing and stimulation products, 45 coiled tubing innovations, maintained 190 global patents and applications within 55 patent families, and authored over 35 technical papers. Trican applies a thorough understanding of our customers and their requirements to the development of our products, tools and procedures, while working to minimize their impact on the environment wherever it is possible to do so.
