Description

You should take your time getting a producer and producing your professional voice talent demo. First of all, as mentioned already, get your voice critiqued by a professional in the business and find out if you've got the chops to make a run at the voice over biz. Your producer will help you choose some scripts that enhance your range and style and decide what kind of sound effects and music beds you should have on each commercial. You can usually find someone in radio who will produce your demo.

As a full-time professional voice talent for over 25 years now, I've performed in some of the best studios in the world with a ton of great producers. And, I do a fair amount of recording in my home studio for clients in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, Hong Kong, London and all over the world, using my ISDN connection, Source Connect, AudioTX or FTP service to deliver audio.

About 90 percent of our clients return to engage our services again, or refer us to other clients. The reason is simple - we provide excellent service and a high quality product for a reasonable price.

This, never happens.....well, almost never....lol! This is why we go through the audition process. What you have approved during the audition process will be what's delivered, including pacing, vocal style, quality of audio, etc. In effect, when you hear the audition, you're basically hearing your final product. If you don't like it, or need changes done for pacing, inflections and so on, these are done free of charge within reason, of course. However, if you come back and would like a different voicing style other than the approved audition, then revision fees apply.

You could say voice talent runs in the family. I never knew my Father, but those who knew him tell stories of how he was a master with his voice. I guess that's why I've been behind a microphone for over 20 years....my brother even longer. I had a short stint in Radio Broadcasting (about 10 years) but I never aspired to become a celebrity in Broadcasting - I was always happier behind the scenes, recording commercials and producing programs. The problem is, if you're not the Morning Guy or the General Manager, the money sucks and so do the hours.
