I was raised on a mixed grain farm in southwestern Manitoba and spent many hours working in a local fertilizer dealership associating closely with rural customers on all facets of their farm production needs. This experience has enabled me to understand the challenges, communication and needs of both farm product distributors and the ultimate customers, the growers. I have completed my Agribusiness Diploma from Assiniboine College in Brandon, Manitoba after which I immediately stepped into a wholesale fertilizer marketing representative position for Tiger Industries in the southern Alberta territory. Within my first year, the territory realized an overall growth in sales of approximately 30 percent. My past experience has taken me through positions such as a territory marketing representative, marketing manager, marketing and inside sales manager for Tiger Industries and currently part owner and General Manager/Sales & Marketing for Taurus Technology Incorporated As a result of this past experience I feel I have developed strong and effective management, communication and organizational skills along with an extensive personal contact network within the industry. I believe my career advancement has occurred as a result of hard work and dedication. Taurus Technology now allows me to utilize the networking, sales and marketing skills I have developed to the advantage of my clients. Having been in the agricultural industry for the past several years, I feel I have the essential skills necessary to excel in this exciting new role.
