Surfside Construction was established by Owen Poppy in 1985 to specialize in top quality interior woodwork and architectural detailing. Since inception, Surfside Construction has gained much respect in the Lower Mainland's fine home building community, both among builders and owners. In recent years, Surfside Construction has expanded it's services to provide clients the opportunity to participate as their dream home projects are carefully managed from start to finish.

It is with great pleasure that we provide this letter of reference. We will start with the story of how we came to meet Owen Poppy. After circling the peninsula endlessly every weekend for about five years, with our three fidgety children strapped into their car seats we finally found a property that had a lot of the ingredients that we were looking for. During these road trips we also discovered a few extraordinary homes that caught our eye along the way. Upon further investigation we were fortunate to discover that they were designed by Bob Ferguson and built by Owen Poppy.

Owen closely supervised the creation of our new home, from the demolition of the older building to the final touches on our new house, which was completed on schedule. Working with him was a pleasure; he was open and approachable, and he maintained a professional attitude at all times. This professionalism was clearly evident in the entire Surfside Construction team: our neighbours can attest to the fact that the building site was always orderly and the Surfside workers were highly skilled, conscientious and a pleasure to work with.
