SOLT proudly announces the 2010 Opera Workshop, a unique educational program whose main goal is to recreate the professional interpretative process with a special focus on the lyric theatre. Such issues as character development, the creative impulse, acting techniques and stage movement get revisited and in some cases, looked at for the first time. The Opera Workshop begins on Sunday, June 13 and will conclude on Sunday, August 8, 2010. During the course of this eight-week period all participating artists will have been involved with dramatic discussions, music and staging rehearsals and a series of Master Classes touching on important aspects of a singer ’s career. These eight weeks of intensive work culminate in a series of performances showcasing not only the artists ’ talent but also their work in appealing repertoire.
