Description

R-Can Environmental Inc. was established in 1986. The company manufactures a continually growing line of ultraviolet disinfection systems (currently 1/2-1,000 gal./min.). These products are used to kill bacteria in residential, commercial and industrial applications where there is a need either voluntary or legislated to eliminate bacteria from water. By using ultraviolet lamps in the 254 nm range, these systems alter the DNA of bacteria, preventing reproduction thereby effectively killing the bacteria. This is a chemically free and environmentally friendly method of sterilizing water. These units are marketed by the company throughout the world.


R-Can also manufactures ozone generators (using ultraviolet lamps in the 185 nm range) for use in swimming pools and spas. These products substantially reduce the amount of chemicals such as chlorine needed to purify the water in the pool and spa.
