Que Pasa began as a small streetfront deli specializing in freshly prepared salsas, and home style tortilla chips that were made fresh each day. As demand for their products grew, local supermarket chains asked to carry the chips and salsas in their gourmet deli departments. From there demand grew by reputation alone, and the sales volumes required a move to a larger facility in 1990. The present plant includes equipment for cooking and stonegrinding the corn, as well as a larger and more efficient kitchen space for the salsas and prepared foods. Que Pasa's distribution now includes most major supermarket chains, warehouse clubs, and many of the major hotels and restaurants in the Vancouver area. Que Pasa also produces several select private label products, predominantly tortilla chips for natural food companies and other organic tortilla chip brands. Kitchen products, including salsas and prepared foods, are also widely distributed in supermarket and warehouse clubs. Distribution in Canada extends from British Columbia to Newfoundland. In the United States, Que Pasa organic corn tortilla chips have become well known in Washington and Oregon and they are now distributed in all the western states from Montana to Texas as well as Alaska, Hawaii to New York, and even Guam! Our goal at Que Pasa is to work hard to provide healthy and natural products that satisfy almost everyone's craving for the delicious tastes from the cuisines of Mexico and the American Southwest! Que Pasa maintains a vigorous Quality Assurance department that acts independently to monitor all aspects of our food production. These staff members do a range of activities around the plant and complete in-house laboratory analyses to ensure that all of our products meet our high standards and are produced in a safe and sanitary manner.
