Pharmax Limited was founded in 1972 by a pharmaceutical chemist, Stanley Cowan. The company was formed to manufacture and market a unique chemistry, called Glutacide ® , to disinfect reusable medical and dental instruments and devices. The third generation of this chemistry still persists today as a leader in instrument disinfection.

Shailesh Patel has served as Pharmax Limited’s head of production since 2002. He is instrumental in the formulation of over 20 products, and is the lead agent for new product development. Shailesh is committed to ensure that each product Pharmax manufactures and distributes consistently meets with internationally accepted standards of quality, efficacy, and safety. As he explains, “quality should not only be a function of testing, but should be built into the product from its inception”.
