NORTH VANCOUVER, BC – Originally founded in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Pacific Prince Investments (including its division, SPF Precut Lumber) has strong roots in the local North Shore business community, including membership in the North Vancouver Chamber of Commerce for nearly 20 years.

For the second time in three years, SPF Precut Lumber was recognized by the HSBC International Business Awards, held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This year, SPF Precut Lumber was recognized in the “Leadership in International Trade: Asia-Pacific” category for differentiating itself in a commodity business through its innovative inventory-and-logistics model and customer education programs. The finalists represented a wide range of industries across Canada. The awards gained national media coverage in The National Post, HSBC Global Connections, and other media publications.

The Schweighofer family has been engaged in business for more than 360 years with a long-standing tradition in forestry and agriculture, in addition to being a pioneer in biomass for energy and a major real estate developer in Europe. Notably, the family’s Schweighofer Foundation is strongly committed to charity projects in Romania and Austria.
