Description

Nicholson Manufacturing Ltd are leading manufacturers of primary log processing equipment for sawmills, board mills and pulp mills. They have designed and built a complete range of mechanical ring debarkers, cut off saws for log merchandizing or bulk cutting, chippers for whole logs, short ends and trims, sawmill residuals, plywood veneer and composer trims, pedestal mounted log loaders and other log feeding equipment.

The Nicholson Series A5B and A7 debarkers are high speed machines offered in 5 ring sizes to process logs as small as 2"
(5 cm) to 33" (84 cm)diameters at very high speeds. Over 600 of the Model A5B machines and 50 of the Model A7 have been built and installed.

Nicholson also offers the Series A1, A2 and A6 floating ring machines to operate at lower speeds at lower capital cost in the above range of sizes. This type of machine with larger ring sizes can also be used to debark larger diameter logs with the largest model being capable of processing up to 170 cm.

Nicholson's line of chippers includes a range of whole log and wastewood disc chippers, straight knife drum chippers, veneer chippers, rotodrum rechippers and short log rotodrum chippers in a wide range of sizes.

The Nicholson Full Flow chip screen features higher chip screening efficiency and ease of maintenance.

The Nicholson SuperSaw is a high speed lineal cut off saw designed to compliment automated log bucking systems using electronic scanning to optimize the value received from the logs.
