For over 145 years, the YMCA-YWCA of the National Capital Region has provided housing services to the community. Both the YMCA and YWCA were founded in Ottawa in response to a need for shelter for men and women.

Y camps are for every child and youth in our communities. That's why we're dedicated to ensuring that as many campers as possible continue to have a YMCA-YWCA experience. We provide financial help for those who otherwise couldn't afford the experience and integrate children with special needs while giving them one-on-one support. The Y is for everyone regardless of race, religion, creed, ability or economic circumstances.

For over 90 years, the YMCA-YWCA of the National Capital Region has been a trusted provider of leading child care in our community.

Located at the Taggart Family Y, our housing services are often used by students, newcomers to Canada, individuals in transition due to separation and divorce, those living in unsafe or unstable housing, and individuals coping with issues related to physical/mental health, or substance abuse. Working with our community partners, the Y continues to provide affordable, safe housing in an environment that promotes mutual respect, support and tolerance.
