In 1952, the family started a service and installation division for these wooden doors and called it Brant Overhead Door. Knechtel Bros’s wooden garage doors were known for top quality and durability. As demand for steel doors increased, Brant Overhead Door became distributors for most of the steel garage door manufacturers such as Steel-Craft, Clopay®, Wayne Dalton®, and in 2007, C.H.I.™ Overhead Doors.

Brant Overhead Door is a division of Knechtel Bros (2012) LTD, founded in 1949 by the Knechtel family. We started manufacturing wood products of all types: skids, park benches and eventually wooden garage doors , which took off with a boom.
