Investeco was incorporated on January 22nd, 2003 but the company's history stretches back to 1999 when Andrew Heintzman and Michael de Pencier agreed that unprecedented growth in environmental sectors provided a unique business opportunity not tapped by the mainstream investment industry. In taking a "sectoral" approach to environmental investing, Investeco became Canada's first environmental investment management company. Investeco Capital Corp. (ICC) manages private equity funds and its wholly owned subsidiary, Investeco Financial Corp. (IFC), manages portfolios of listed securities for institutional and accredited investors.
