InStream Fisheries Research, Incorporated was established in 1997 to provide consulting services on fisheries related issues in the Pacific Northwest. We have acquired a strong reputation for quality fisheries consulting work on a variety of projects. Our clients have included provincial and federal agencies, industry, First Nations, consulting firms and a variety of resource users. We have taken the lead on several long term projects that require a high standard of data collection and analysis. Fisheries issues which we frequently address include population status, habitat condition, watershed restoration, water use planning, fish behavior, hatchery supplementation assessments, fish passage improvements, harvest impacts, and endangered species recovery. Our company has been involved with a wide range of fish counter design, installation and video validation projects throughout British Columbia. The core of the firm is composed of five senior consultants, each with many years of relevant education and experience.
