Our strategy is to invest in co-generation systems that capture and convert into electrical power the waste heat and gases from the steelmaking operations of our sister company, Hamilton Steel. Our objective is to create up to 120 MW of electrical generating capacity by 2010, which will drive reductions in greenhouse gas and other environmental emissions at Hamilton Steel, reduce its reliance on the provincial electricity grid, and improve its cost-competitiveness.
