Celebrating over 30 years of choral singing this year, the Hamilton Children's Choir consists of approximately 80 young singers between the ages of 8 - 24 years who have a passion for music and enjoy the magical experience of singing and performing as a choir. Under the excellent guidance, leadership and expertise of a world-renowned choral director and gifted artistic staff, the Hamilton Children's Choir program offers local youth singers the opportunity to experience musical excellence through leading edge vocal instruction and musical training in a challenging, yet positive and fun environment. The Hamilton Children's Choir annual program begins with a weeklong camp in August and then follows with weekly rehearsals starting in September, including one additional Saturday practice per month. Choristers participate in a various number of special performances throughout the year, having the season end with a major tour, choral festival or workshop. Performing is a fundamental part of the choir's program and sharing our gift of song is a joy! Traditionally, the HCC organizes and performs two concerts for the local community, a Christmas and Spring concert. As well, the HCC accepts invitations to participate in prestigious musical events locally.
