Description

GRIP Montreal (Groupe de Recherche et d'intervention Psychosociale) is a non profit organization established since 1997. GRIP's first goal is to dispense information and education about psychotropic substances to help individuals (particularly youth) to be more capable in making enlightened decisions regarding the use of drugs. In its research and intervention philosophy, GRIP's priority is harm-reduction. This non-repressive approach is founded on pragmatism, humanism, tolerance and diversity. GRIP's intervention favors free-will over repression: our aim, this way, is for youth to adopt a responsible attitude in regards to the risks involved in thoughtless drug consumption. GRIP's prime activity is to hold drug-information booths in raves and occasionally in schools. At these booths, people will find information leaflets regarding drugs and their usage context. On top of getting information, they can count on our trained volunteers to listen and support them, as well as guide them...
