We are pleased to provide our international students a true Canadian experience. Students are immersed in a Canadian school and community setting. Golden Hills School Division provides quality learning opportunities and promotes lifelong learning and academic excellence. Our schools have strong academic programs based on the Province of Alberta’s Program of Studies. Our schools are effective in preparing international students for entry in post secondary institutions, English language proficiency, specific grade level preparation, and Canadian cultural and social understanding. International students have the opportunity to choose between Homestay and Boarding in a residence. Our Boarding facility is located at the Drumheller Composite High School in Drumheller, Alberta. Either choice will provide students with a comfortable living environment in which to study and interact with others to learn the Canadian language and culture. There are a number of communities that together make up our division. Our teacher staff of 400 provide our students with high quality learning opportunities and promote lifelong learning and academic excellence. Enhanced learning and teaching is achieved through the effective use of technology. We strive to provide our students with opportunities for success while promoting healthy, caring schools. Golden Hills School Division is dedicated to providing approximately 6700 students with excellent academic experiences. As stated in the Golden Hills Mission Statement, we strive to build on the strengths of the people in our school system in order to provide programs which meet the diverse needs of our students.
