Description

Our staff and volunteers are here to help you to have the best experience possible when you visit the Sunshine Coast. Fully trained Travel Counselors will provide you with maps, visitor guides, brochures, and friendly personal tips about community events, shops, restaurants, recreation, and sights you simply shouldn't miss. If you are planning a trip to Gibsons, we recommend that you contact us in advance by phone, email, or letter, and we will respond. The more you tell us about yourself, when you plan to come, and what you like to do, the better we can assist you.

Annette Newcomb brings a diverse background to her role as Outreach Coordinator at the Visitor Information Centre. She has extensive experience in retail sales, customer service, communications, art, and education, and has lived on the Sunshine Coast since 1996. An artist and photographer with a lifetime love of wild spaces Annette enjoys exploring the Sunshine Coast by land and by sea. She lives in Gibsons Landing and is very active as a volunteer in the community.

The Chamber will not collect information indiscriminately and will limit collection of information to that which is reasonable and necessary to provide services and which is reasonable and necessary for the purposes consented to by you. The Chamber will also collect information as authorized by law.

The Sunshine Coast Travel Ambassadors (TA's) are a group of volunteers who assist both visitors and locals with travel information on B.C. Ferries Route #3 Langdale-Horseshoe Bay. The TA's wear distinctive red golf shirts and each year welcome approximately 40,000 visitors. The program operates from the Easter long weekend to Canadian Thanksgiving. The program began in 1997 and operates under the direction of the Gibsons & District Chamber of Commerce.
