Freeze-Dry Foods is a major North American processor of freeze-dried products. With facilities in Albion, New York and Oakville, Ontario, it is the only freeze-dry processor with plants in both the U.S. and Canada. The company is a supplier to many of the world's leading food companies. It also does work for the military, camping and back packer distributors, and has relationships with a number of other food and specialty processing companies to provide custom drying services. Freeze-Dry Foods is HACCP compliant at both facilities and is approved by the USDA and CFIA to process meat items. To help customers develop and test new products, Freeze-Dry Foods maintains a research and development laboratory with pilot freeze-dryers and a wide assortment of monitoring and measuring equipment.
