A year later, the company released its first car phone, the Mobira Senator (see video) . After the company bought out Salora Oy, they launched one of the world’s first transportable phones, the Mobira Talkman, and the Mobira Cityman 900. It wasn’t until 1988 that they dropped the name Mobira and became Nokia Mobile Phones. Nokia was the largest manufacturer of mobile phones in 2011.
