To be the leading provider of Canadian Geo-data to geo-professionals. In February of 2000, J.D.Barnes Limited moved its Mapping and GIS Divisions under the name of First Base Solutions Inc. First Base Solutions Inc. (FBS), now a wholly owned subsidiary of J.D. Barnes Limited was created to more effectively serve our clients. The E-Commerce component of FBS found at http://www.firstbasesolutions.com/maps/ is a data warehouse of First Base Solution's Library of digital orthoimagery, digital elevation models and additional third party data, which includes Teranet's Parcel Mapping and the Ministry of Natural Resources - Ontario Base Mapping for the Province. The data is provided in a variety of digital formats readily available for downloading. We presently employ a staff of approximately 50 people dedicated to GIS Mapping services, Web related sales and services, and associated consulting activities. We provide comprehensive and innovative solutions that enable our clients to make informative cost effective decisions.
