E. F. Moon Construction Ltd. was founded in 1962 and is now a second generation company. We are proud that 2012 is the 50 year anniversary of the founding of our company.

Jack started in the construction industry in May of 1985 when he joined his father’s company. By 1992 he was helping run the family business and was a partner. In January of 2003 Jack entered the Civil CAD program at Red River College. He finished college in April of 2005 and graduated with honors that December with a diploma in Municipal Engineering Technology. While the original plan was to return to the family business after college, circumstances changed and new offers were received. One of these was an offer to join E.F. Moon Construction Ltd. as part of a new ownership group. Jack accepted this offer and joined the company on May 1, 2005. Jack received his Civil Engineering Technologist (CET) designation in spring of 2006 and his Gold Seal Certificate (GSC) in project management in November of 2006. Today Jack is a 50/50 partner in the company with Mark Moon. He oversees the estimating and bidding process and is a project manager. In his official capacity as Treasurer of the company Jack oversees all finances and the day to day operation of the office.

Jocelyn has been with E.F. Moon since 1995. She received her Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering in 1993 and completed a Masters degree in 1998. She has gained extensive experience in estimating and project management over the years and gained her Gold Seal Certification (GSC) in project management in 2008. Jocelyn continues to bid on and manage diverse projects, from small local jobs to multi-million dollar projects.

Ours is a diversified company offering heavy construction services ranging from excavation to demolition to underground utility installation, to name a few. Our home base is Portage la Prairie but we serve all of southern Manitoba. In the past we have been involved in a number of major Manitoba projects including the Kenaston Underpass in Winnipeg, the new James Richardson Airport terminal in Winnipeg, the Royal Plaza power centre in Portage la Prairie and a major lagoon expansion in Brandon. While we are comfortable working on large projects, we also take care of the smaller ones too. From snow clearing to local deliveries to individual aggregate sales, no customer is anything less than important to us.
