Our primary goal and focus at Dutchman Industries Inc. has been to listen and understand the individual needs of every customer. We still manufacture equipment on our 1000+ acre nursery today and our main focus continues to be building equipment that we know works rather than building equipment that we think will work.

Not only do we custom build Tree Spades, but we also produce top quality equipment for all of your other nursery needs, including Truck Spades, Tree Tyers and the Tree Rex. Here at Dutchman Industries, we pride ourselves in producing top of the line Tree Spades, and other tree transplanting equipment, to meet the demands of the nursery industry.

In the early 1970's, Dutchmaster commenced the design, development, and manufacturing of the "Dutchman's Tree Spade". Continual design upgrades over the past two decades have resulted in a number of models that can deal with trees of all calipers while maintaining our reputation for efficiency and dependability. This included a total re-design of all our models in the early 90's, in an effort to better serve the nursery/landscaping industry. Today, Dutchman's Tree Spades are #1 in North America. Early beginnings were spent trying to mechanize our field operations and fill the voids left by machinery downtime. Much of this down-time was directly related to servicing and repairing tree spades. In the late 1970‘s, we commenced work on a newly designed tree spade. The idea was to build a reliable spade that virtually had no service time and produced a superior root ball. Initially, we built it for ourselves, but were constantly asked by other nurseries if we could build a unit similar for them. Henceforth, the Dutchman Tree Spade was born.
