Crystal Expansion Back on Track February 23, 2007, Westbank, B.C. - Crystal Mountain Ski and Golf Resort met with district planners from the Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) this past Wednesday at a development workshop to review its expansion plan. - More - Send a letter of support! Crystal Mountain is looking to expand to become an all season resort that will showcase and protect this special area of the Okanagan while providing social and economic benefits to the region. Following the construction of the Scenic Chair in the summer of 2000, the expansion of Crystal Mountain, which was and still is very important for the future of the resort, was planned for the 2002/2003 ski season. Almost five years have passed and still no expansion. Provincial Approvals Granted - Regional Approvals Next The Expansion Plan has been approved by the Provincial Government in the form of the Resort Master Plan and a Master Development Agreement. To start its expansion, Crystal now needs approvals from the Central Okanagan Regional District (RDCO) for rezoning for the first phase of the expansion and an Official Community Plan (OCP) amendment. How Can I Help? The Regional District needs to know that area residents are in favour of the proposed expansion of Crystal Mountain. Crystal is seeking support from people who are excited about our expansion plans and who would like to see Crystal become an all seasons resort.
