To illustrate the type of projects that Cognition routinely undertakes, the following brief summaries provide an overview of some of our recent engagements. As a team of senior consultants, we are proud of our work and, in particular, the concrete benefits that our unique approach delivers to our clients. The projects cited here range in value from $25 million to over $150 million. Steve Shields recently delivered exceptional client value as a member of the Senior Management team directly responsible for the budget, staff and integration services needed to perform over 20 active projects annually across all areas of Alberta Health including Public Health Surveillance; Access to Services; Waitlist Tracking; Mental Health Reporting; and, elements of the Electronic Health Record. The position involved re-aligning the internal Delivery Management function within the Information Strategic Services Division to ensure that the Department's business needs for Information Management (IM) and Information Technology (IT) were being met. This included establishing and managing a new business model that directly positioned Delivery to support the priorities of the Department as well as being accountable for the successful provisioning of applications that achieve business objectives.
