Cientis Technologies was established in 2004 by Chairman Dr. Alan Brookstone, an internationally recognized expert on Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) and Electronic Health Records (EHRs). Alan is a family physician with 25 years of medical practice experience in rural and urban practice settings and a senior consultant with extensive international, provincial and regional experience in primary care electronic medical records, acute care clinical systems, privacy, data stewardship and clinician engagement at both the operational and strategic planning levels.

AmericanEHR Partners is working with the Regional Extension Centers (RECs) for the District of Columbia and Tennessee to support their staff and clients in the identification and selection of EHR systems for their practices. Cientis Technologies is pleased to announce the addition of Duane Nickull to our advisory board. Duane was previously a senior technical evangelist at Adobe where he was responsible for Adobe's messaging around enterprise solutions in the SOA and web services spaces plus other forward-looking aspects, such as Web 2.0. Prior to that Duane cofounded Yellow Dragon Software Corporation, a privately held developer of XML messaging and metadata management software, acquired by Adobe in 2003.
