About
The Centre for Canadian Language Benchmarks (CCLB) is Canada's foremost nonprofit dedicated to the CLB/NCLC standards, which are the official benchmarks for assessing and recognizing the English and French language proficiency of adult immigrants and newcomers. CCLB promotes these standards across educational, training, community, and workplace environments, offering resources, publications, and professional development to language educators, assessors, and learners nationwide. Founded in 1998, CCLB operates under a diverse board of directors and receives support from federal and provincial governments to maintain and enhance its language assessment tools.
