The Consulting Engineers of British Columbia is a business organisation that represents and provides assistance to consulting engineering firms, rather than individual engineers, through corporate membership. CEBC members number nearly 100 firms across the province constituting a sizeable portion of the industry in BC. Member firms range from the sole proprietor to the large multinational corporation. Incorporated as a Society in 1976, with liaison groups in the Okanagan and Vancouver Island, the CEBC provides a top-down approach to improving the commercial environment for consulting engineering firms by lobbying to policymakers in districts, provincial and municipal governments as well as clients in the private sector.
