Since 1974, the Carmacks organization has grown from a small municipal road contractor to a multi-faceted general civil construction service organization handling all aspects of heavy civil construction. The scope of projects undertaken by Carmacks has varied from small asphalt repairs, to contracts having a value of several millions of dollars with parallel degrees of complexity. The scope of work performed includes Highway Construction, Highway Maintenance; Industrial Site Construction; Bridge Repair and Maintenance, and Municipal Construction as well as other related work opportunities. A strong presence in the road construction and surfacing industry has prevailed throughout the 30 plus years in business. Attention to the special needs of each client has earned us contracts for surfacing airport runways, subdivisions, major highways, municipal streets, and parking lots. Our total resources in personnel and equipment, strategically located over a wide geographic area, enable us to undertake relatively small projects up to more complex, multi-million dollar projects anywhere in the Pacific Northwest. In 1996, the Alberta Government moved out of bridge services and Carmacks acquired some of their highly qualified and experienced personnel to set up and operate a Bridge Division.
