Successful applicants are matched with a dog. We typically have a large number of applicants interested but our primary concern is finding the perfect fit for our foster dogs; we don’t operate on a first-come, first-served system. Our primary goal is to place each dog in the best situation possible for him or her. This can take days or weeks and is difficult to predict. But we appreciate your patience through this process.

Permanent Fosters BRO is very proud to say that we operate a small “permanent foster” program for our dogs who need it, and we are especially proud of the foster parents who open their homes to dogs who have good quality of life, but who may have a poor long-term prognosis. Our permanent fosters dogs are given palliative care to control infections or aches and pains, but we don't provide heroic treatments. We provide a normal, loving family home and warmth and comfort and the companionship of other dogs until it's time for them to cross the Bridge.

Boxer Rescue Ontario is a nonprofit organization of volunteers dedicated to placing abandoned, injured or lost boxers in loving homes. We are an affiliate of Boxer Rescue Canada and work with other rescue groups, shelters, veterinarians, breeders and the public to promote responsible pet ownership in and around Ontario. The dogs we rescue are usually homeless through no fault of their own. Generally they are surrendered directly by their previous owners or come to us through shelters that are happy for any help they can get.
